Pool covers have important advantages especially given today's high energy costs. An open pool loses six litres of water per square metre per day through evaporation. For a size of 4x8m, this means 192 litres evaporate per day or a heat loss of 193 Kcal/day. On an annual basis, this amounts to 70,000 litres or 70,000 Kcal. You can save up to 80% with a cover. In other words, a lot of heat is retained. Our solar slats heat up the water of the pool by 5-7 degrees. This results in even greater energy savings and you can enjoy your pool for longer.

Then the pool cover should be combined with a heat pump. At Dekobo, we use a Full Inverter heat pump with variable speed to regulate the temperature in your pool. Thanks to this variable speed, you can save a lot of energy costs. A traditional heat pump always runs at full power, whereas in most situations this is not necessary at all. A Full Inverter heat pump works considerably smarter and more efficiently. Our heat pumps are set up to quickly sense when the temperature in your pool drops, and then very efficiently heat it back up to the desired level. Combined with our solar slats, the Full Inverter heat pump is the best choice for your pool.
